WE GOT OUR NEW CAR!!!!!

A sexy little black 2008 Saturn Vue. When we first started dating (gazillion years ago), I made sure Ben fully understood that I would NEVER EVER own a mini van...not even up for debate, deal-breaker, NO. I have nothing personal against mini vans of mega fun.... I just will not own one. But we needed a vehicle with more space, and ever since being upgraded to a small SUV in St. Louis (thanks ninja deer for totaling the first car), the idea of a compact SUV has been creeping in our brains 

So now we have two cars, one for each of us. No more carpooling to work, which sortta makes me sad since it was time that we could count on spending together. But with Ben starting his new job Jan. 4th in IL..... that would be one heck of a carpool in opposite directions. Next step: find a new place.

In other news....

+ figuring out flights for Vegas. I have the days off work , the need for adventure, & a quarter life crisis to handle

+ note to self: send out the rest of your Christmas cards already

+ find a dress for Ashley's wedding next weekend

+ New Year's plans

christmas 2011

I'm loving the Lady A christmas playlist. 

I finished making our Christmas cards... for the most part. And I finished wrapping the Christmas presents and placing them lovingly under our nearly needle-less tree. And Ben made what he swears is the best cup of coffee EVER this morning because he (with a smirk) "added juuuust a little bit of Rum Chata." That goofball makes me smile

My 25th birthday is less than a month away. I'm preparing for a quarter life crisis.... and I've always been a large fan of the destination birthday..... turned 22nd in Orlando, FL.... and a little trip to Fort Myers Beach for my 24th..... so OBVIOUSLY a quarter life crisis birthday should happen in Las Vegas. I'm in the process of rounding up a posse for that adventure.

Family Christmas at Gpa & Gma's house was this last weekend. I got to leave work early and Ben and I drove to Sun Prairie in time to put on our Christmas sweaters and competitively eat Gma's meatballs. It was nice to see everyone... including my cousin Danielle and her family who flew in from Hawaii to surprise everyone. I adore surprises! So I got to meet her little baby Riglei and tell her a thing or two about festive Christmas sweaters

We sortta bought a car Monday night. Kinda? A 2008 Saturn Vue. Traded in the busted up little red cougar. The battery needs to be replaced before we sign ANYTHING. But I really like the car........ 

Sooo I had a couple of really long/bad days in a row. Topped off one night by the dynamic P&N duo coughing up a fresh hairball on my side of the bed and then neatly tucking it in under the sheets so that I didn't see it until I was decked out in my pjs crawling into bed....... but it's a new day! This morning Ben got offered more money for the job in IL that he is really excited about starting :) I'm so proud of him :)

I'll have dinner with my husband... at normal people dinner time.

And my real live Christmas tree won't be dead....and Paris&Nicole won't be devil kitties climbing up my real live tree and chomping on it 'til it croaks.
