yesterday, ben, me, my mom and dad, and brianna got in a car and drove 4.5 hours to MN.
brandon hooked us up with some snazzy hugo boss suits.
then we ate dinner and drove back to LM.

I don't work today, so today is a day devoted to making some headway with wedding planning.... honest.
As I sit here with my bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal that I am eating from a square tupperware container (time to do some dishes?), I realize that there are about 52 gagillion things that I would rather be doing than sitting in my apartment googling bridesmaid dresses that don't look like a 1980's high school prom disaster or breaking down our budget. What WAS our budget again Ben?? I don't do numbers.
I wish Ben was here to throw around ideas with me. It's more fun that way. Otherwise, it's phone calls and delayed responses because he's at work or I'm at work....... one day we will have consecutive days off together. We will be 78 and 80 years old, but I'm going to totally own it.
LIST OF THINGS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED FOR FEEL GOOD PURPOSES:
- dress ordered
- Ben's ring sized & paid for
- Britani's rings sized & paid for
- ceremony location
- reception location
- food tasted & menu selected
- save the dates sent
- wedding party set
- met with florist
- dj...
- invitations ordered (as of today!)
- 2 sessions of premarital meetings w/ pastor
- Pastor Rath to officiate the whole shebang
- I'm sure there's other stuff too. I'm sure of it.

ugly naked guy
"Friends" is an awesome show. There are just so many things that happen on that show which make you think, "ooh geez, that TOTALLY happened to me..." or even "wow, I can see my friends and I doing something like that." Usually, those things are funny jokes or pranks the group does, or even just hanging out over a cup of coffee...
WELL, let me tell you: I was not expecting for another little tidbit from "Friends" to make its way into my daily life. A little tidbit of Ugly Naked Guy. No lie. The guy sitting right across from my apartment being a bit of a creeper was one thing. Then he apparently moved (or was prosecuted... I'm just saying...). So tonight Jessica and I are hanging out having a bad dance-off in my living room when Jessica's face turned to shock. And there, across from my apartment balcony was my very own Ugly Naked Guy. Ooh yes. Old man with a beer gut and bits of crazy grey hair and...... tighty whities.
I think I'm actually excited about this. My very own bonafide Ugly Naked Guy in the apartment across from me. Just like from "Friends". Now I can check that off my "Friends" to do list, along with dancing in a fountain in downtown. But that's a story for a different time, because I've already written TWICE today. one two doo doo doo

cinco de mayo!
happy cinco de mayo!
so today is cinco de mayo! (aiy aiy aiy!) so I worked this morning, and was done with work by 2 ish this afternoon.....and so was ben! and so was jessica! happy cinco de mayo! burritos and margaritas for all!
and that is what we have done. we have drank mango margaritas and we made guacamole and ate chips and salsa and made burritos while.........wait for it.........watching ellen. my favorite show EVER. i absolutely love the ellen show. love, love, love it.
vegas bachelorette party with ellen. best. thing. ever. aaaaaaah so funny :) and so vegas.... and sunny and warm and if i was drinking my mango margarita by the pool right now..... aaah if only :)
in other news: ben and i decided to try out our green thumbs, and we planted what i would consider a million seeds in a little plastic greenhouse dealio. aside from nicole sitting on those little seedlings, the plants are actually coming up nicely! amazing-- would have never guessed. so we have some little green sprouts of cat grass? oregano? basil? sunflowers? cilantro? i don't know.... they are all mixed together and i have no idea what is what.

cars.
ben's cougar (meOW) is a piece..... of poo. and the car "fixer" dude is a dang fool. and this whole let's share a single car between the two of us thing is kinda stressful. long story short(er)... ben's car died. car was towed to jefferson to be fixed. car dude had car for over 3 weeks. ben picks up car tonight. car is running, but has the same issues it had right before it konked out in the middle of an intersection. ben is pissed. britani is pissed. car is poo.
