Yesterday..... March 18th..... in Milwaukee, Wisconsin..... it was nearly 80 degrees. LOVE IT!!
Since it was so toasty warm, Ben and I got some seeds and planted them. We are attempting to grow some flowers, cilantro, and cat nip. This go-round I marked what was growing in each pot of dirt. Lesson learned from last year. Aaahhh growing up. However, I over-watered everything, so we are hoping for anything to grow.
During our green thumb time, Paris and Nicole were having a great time playing in the dirt and hanging out outside on the porch. But Paris is a wanderer at heart, so she tip-toed from our deck (3rd story), to the window ledge, and finally to the neighbors' balcony. I had a heart attack and immediately started planning her untimely funeral and thinking about Nicole being an only cat. The neighbors were not home, and the apt office was not open since it was Sunday. So Paris spent a solid hour sprawled out on the neighbors' deck and sitting on tiny window ledges high above the ground. Special kitty needs a helmet.

We got "yelled at" Saturday (St. Patty's Day) for still having our Christmas tree on the porch. Maybe it was more because Brianna was over and propped up the tree and decorated it with Mardi Gras beads for the holiday at hand. Last night, I threw that tree over the balcony and Ben dragged it away. I also threw him some Mardi Gras beads after he showed me his left man nip.

Last night, Ben and I became home brewery masters. We busted out the Mr. Beer kit that we got for our wedding.... or Ben's bachelor party? Details, details. The important thing is that we are making beer. Neither of us realized that it would take roughly 2 weeks minimum before we could drink our concoction. At more than one point during the process, we contemplated taking a trip to the liquor store.....they have ready-to--drink beer.
